Nuria Honauer
Nuria Honauer is deeply interested in the joy and curiosity of learning, as well as the ability to immerse oneself in a subject with motivation. After earning her Bachelor of Arts and a teaching certificate from the Institut Unterstrass in Zurich, she pursued a master’s degree in Gender Studies and Educational Sciences at the universities of Basel and Fribourg, where she researched, among other things, the connection between education and social power dynamics. In addition to her teaching duties, she also completed a training in SOMATIC EXPERIENCING (SE), gaining a deeper understanding of the trauma-focused perspective related to the nervous system. Alongside her passion for soccer, where she holds a C-level coaching certification, she engages intensively with feminist and postcolonial perspectives on learning and the work of educators. The title of her master’s thesis, “Learning as a Liberating Practice,” symbolizes her daily pedagogical work.
